Real-time user interfaces are nothing new. Yet they are often limited to chat sites and scholarship applications, where the use case requires that data is continuously updated on the screen. However, data change is not the only reason to choose a real-time user interface. Sometimes, it is simply easier. In this session Allard will share with you how a combination of simple standards and frameworks can be easily used to increase the perception of a user and create a seamless end-user experience. We do not stick to the simple chat examples based on WebSockets: we discuss and real time user case and the techniques used in the case management tool of one of the Netherlands largest emergency centers.
Bio Allard Buijze CTO @Trifork
Allard Buijze is the new CTO and former software architect specializing within the field of “scalability” and “high- performance” computing. He has worked on several small and large projects, where performance is often a recurring theme. Allard is convinced that a good domain model is the beginning of contributing the overall performance of an effective application. From this conviction, he has developed the Axon Framework. He regularly gives workshops and trainings in frameworks, best practices and architecture. He also regularly speaks at conferences, seminars and meetups.

About J- fall 2014: Full Program
On Wednesday, November 5, 2014 the NLJUG again organizes the Java event in the Netherlands. The organization works again this year to a controversial program with many national and international speakers. Use this day to you at nailing knowledge and meet fellow colleagues. The conference takes place in the Heart of Holland convention in Nijkerk. From 9:00 start the J – Fall 2014 during the day sessions, keynotes, lunch, and finally a shot where everyone can share his experiences of the J- Fall.
